Some have said that the most critical issue facing the mission of the Church today is the lack of clarity and understanding of what Jesus has asked us to do in Matt. 28:18-20, often referred to as the Great Commission. For Elmbrook, answering the critical question of what is the central missionary task will determine how we engage the world going forward. When you hear people say that "everything is missions," then any clear definition of the task remaining becomes impossible, because everyone has their own definition centered upon that particular ministry they care about, but maybe not what Jesus has called us to do in Matt. 28. If everything is missions, then nothing is missions. Whether you agree or disagree with this statement, we invite you to come participate in a conversation we want to begin in February’s Harvest Hour Class.
Join us on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 10:45am in Room 231-232!
