ElmbrookMen, I just returned from my daily three-mile walk in God's beautiful creation. For most of my walk I asked God for guidance on where He wanted ElmbrookMen to go in the coming year. This is not the first time I've asked for such direction. During the final mile or so, images started coming to mind. What would it look like if every man that calls Elmbrook Church home would be: growing into a fully-devoted follower of Jesus; connected in authentic, accountable relationships with other men; able to clearly articulate what God has done in his life; growing as a leader in the home, workplace, church, and community; and reaching out to those who are marginalized? I'll tell you what would happen: This city would be rocked upside-down, the gates of hell would be broken down and captives would be set free. That is something I want to be a part of—something I'd give my life to. I believe to the core of my being that the church of Jesus Christ is the hope of the world. There is nothing that even comes close. To this end, here is what needs to happen in the coming year. You, as ElmbrookMen, will become engaged in a deliberate effort to: Multiply Disciples Multiply Leaders; and Multiply Small Groups.
The Kingdom does not grow when we rest on our "blessed assurance." Be the man God wants you to be. We are here to encourage and equip you to do that. Let's go!
