Growing up, my favorite ride was the rollercoaster – the steep climb, the anticipation of the drop, the take-my-breath-away sensation of being airborne and the crazy curves that produced screams of laughter. As soon as the cart came to a neck-snapping halt, I jumped out and raced to the end of the line only to do it again. All for the thrill of the ride! If only I loved the ups and downs of life as much. A smooth, easy, don’t-rock-my-life ride is my preference now. When my world is turned upside down, I find myself reeling, reaching out for others and wondering if the conductor is still at the controls.

Of this I am sure, the steadying forces in my life are God’s unchanging Word, sustaining prayer, and girlfriends who join me in the sometimes dizzying ride. The truth is we’re all women cherished by an adoring God who never intended for us to travel solo. Adventure with us to find friendship, mature in faith, soak up wonderful teaching, chime in during a great discussion, and create a few memories along the way. Respond to that flutter in your heart urging you to explore the ride God has in store for you. Hop in…hold on…together we’ll get there!
