classes for the cognitively disabled
Designed for middle- and high-school students with special learning needs, such as autism or developmental delays. Topics of study include an overview of the Bible and the life of Christ. Students will learn the basics of our faith and what it means to belong to God’s family.
Held Sundays from 11am-12:15pm at the Brookfield campus in Room B230.
Adult Friendship Class
Designed to help adults who have cognitive challenges or other special learning needs understand the Word of God and the God who loves them. In class we worship, pray, learn and act out Bible lessons, make crafts related to the lesson and enjoy fellowship.
Held Sundays from 11am-noon at the Brookfield campus.
Support & Assistance: Weekend Services
At Elmbrook, we do everything we can to make our weekend services accessible to those with a physical disability or visual/hearing impairments. Don't hesitate to stop by an Info Center if you have questions about any of these offerings.
- CART captioning for the hearing impaired is available during the 9:30am service on the TV screen in the front right section of the sanctuary.
- Sermon amplification is available, with headphones available at Info Centers.
- Elevators are located throughout the building and wheelchair seating is available in the worship center. Just ask an usher for assistance.
