This class is taught by Doug Schoen and meets in the Fellowship Hall at the Brookfield campus.
Do you enjoy digging into the Word of God? Join friends old and new on Sundays during 2nd hour (10:45am-noon), beginning Sept. 22 in Fellowship Hall. This year for Sunday Bible Study, we will continue in Acts of the Apostles, followed by 5 classes during the Christmas season to study Handel’s glorious oratorio, MESSIAH. In the new year , beginning Jan. 26-May 17 we will focus on Psalms.

Doug Schoen graduated from Wheaton College (IL) in 1969 with a Music Education degree, served 3 years in the U.S. Army Band at West Point (NY) as a trumpeter (concurrently earning a Master's Degree at Teachers College, Columbia University). He taught public school music from 1972-74, was Minister of Music at Grace Chapel (Lexington, MA) from 1974-1977, then became Professor of Music at Greenville (IL) College from 1977-1982 and earned his Ed.D. from Washington University. He moved to Barrington (RI) College to become Chairman of the School of Music. In 1987 he came to Elmbrook as Associate Pastor for Fine Arts Ministry, then from 1998-2018 served in Pastoral Care Ministry.
Doug and his wife, Carolyn, have two children, five grandchildren. Hobbies include reading, motorcycling, and dreaming of warmer weather.
