Castle High Tea

May 12 at 6:30pm - 8:00pm

About the Event

BrookfieldAdults

We are delighted to gather for a Castle High Tea inspired by Waltraud, a moving story of faith, resilience, and hope in the midst of great hardship. Set against the backdrop of wartime Germany—where castles, tradition, and quiet moments over tea still held meaning—the story reminds us that God’s presence remains steadfast even in uncertain times.

We are honored to welcome Tammy Borden, author of Waltraud, as our speaker. Tammy is a Wisconsin author whose work has received statewide recognition, including Waltraud being selected as a 2026 Wisconsin Public Radio Book Club pick, featuring a statewide on-air author interview and discussion.

As we enjoy tea and treats inspired by European tradition, we will reflect on courage, perseverance, and trusting the Lord when life feels unstable. Our time together is guided by Scripture that aligns beautifully with the theme:

"...if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." — Romans 10:9-10

May this gathering encourage our hearts and remind us that God is our stronghold in every season

Invite your friends and bring your own tea cup and saucer.  You may purchase individual tickets, or purchase a Table of 6.  If you purchase a Table of 6, please note that you will be automatically entering yourself as the hostess.  Each hostess is responsible for decorating her table by providing a centerpiece, plates, silverware, napkins and any additional table decorations of her choice.  Hostesses may arrive at 5:00 to begin decorating their table. We will be holding a table decorating contest, where the tables that secure 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will receive a prize.
