Our Story

How It All Started

In 1958, God began stirring hearts.

Thirty believers gathered at Leland Elementary School in Elm Grove with a simple desire to follow Jesus together and make Him known. They did not know what the future would hold. They simply responded to God’s leading.

What began as a small group of faithful people became a growing community shaped by obedience. Through new leaders, new spaces, and new seasons, one truth remained steady. God was building His Church.

When worship outgrew classrooms, God made room.

When leadership changed, God sustained.

When mistakes were made, God remained gracious.

When new opportunities emerged, God sent His people out.

Over the decades, God has raised up pastors and leaders, planted churches throughout the Milwaukee area, formed global partnerships, and equipped thousands to live on mission in their homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods. From launching new congregations to becoming a multi-site church, each step has been part of His unfolding work.

We have experienced seasons of rapid growth and seasons of deep refining. In every chapter, God has been faithful. He has shaped us, humbled us, strengthened us, and drawn us back to Himself.

Today, we remain what we were from the beginning. People responding to God’s invitation.

We are not the center of the story.

God is.

His story is still unfolding. And you are invited.
