James Place's mission is to build relationships, respond to needs, and offer hope in the name of Jesus. This mission has opened doors for the Church to learn from the vulnerable and marginalized groups we serve. Today, James Place has five locations and volunteers from churches all over the Milwaukee area. What started as a desire to love people like Jesus has now become a vibrant ministry of presence.

A trusted place for help
Immigration Services
One of the ways James Place comes alongside neighbors is through immigration legal services. From citizenship and family petitions to guidance through a complicated system, James Place offers care and accredited representation recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals.

​Everybody needs someone to talk to sometimes. James Place offers hope and help through no-cost, confidential counseling services. These counseling services are offered at a first-come basis, so do not hesitate to fill out our referral form below! We accept clients who have insurance and also those who do not, giving priority to those without affordable options. Services are extended to individuals, couples, and family systems. All clients must be 16 years and older.
